Raffle social media graphics for Facebook, Instagram and Stories, with a raffle table tent sign that has a QR code spot

What’s in the kit

  • Nine social media graphics. “Tickets on sale now,” “Halfway there” and “Last chance,” each sized for Facebook (1200 × 630), Instagram (1080 × 1080) and Stories (1080 × 1920).
  • Four emails (Word). The launch, the halfway update, the last call and the winner announcement, with subject lines.
  • Five social captions to pair with the graphics, from “we’re on sale” to “and the winner is.”
  • A text message script your volunteers can send to friends and family, under 160 characters.
  • QR table tent (PDF). Print, fold in half and stand it on the ticket table. Type in your prize and price; add your QR code in Adobe Reader.

A simple promotion schedule

  1. Launch day: send email 1 and post the “on sale” graphic.
  2. Every few days: post one prize spotlight. Photos of the actual prize sell tickets.
  3. The middle: send the halfway email with real numbers. Progress makes people want in.
  4. The last 48 hours: send the last call email, post the “last chance” graphic and have volunteers send the text.
  5. The day after: announce the winner and thank your donors by name.

The one thing every post needs

A way to buy right now. A post that says “see a volunteer” asks people to remember. A link lets them buy before they scroll past. If you don’t have an online ticket page yet, that’s the first thing to fix.

Raffle promotion FAQ

How do you promote a raffle on social media?

Announce it with a clear graphic and a link to buy, spotlight one prize every few days with a real photo, share progress in the middle, and post a last call in the final 48 hours. Every post should include a way to buy.

What should a raffle announcement say?

What the prize is, what the money is for, the ticket price and bundles, when the drawing is, and exactly how to buy. Keep it short enough to read on a phone.

How often should we email about a raffle?

Three or four times: a launch email, a midway update, a last call and a winner announcement. More than that starts to feel like noise.

Can Facebook posts link to raffle ticket sales?

Facebook’s rules restrict promoting gambling, and raffles can fall under them, especially in paid ads. Organic posts from nonprofits usually work fine. Check Facebook’s current advertising policies before you boost a post.

Do we need an online ticket page to use the kit?

No, but it helps a lot. Without one, point people to your volunteers or the event. With one, every post and email can sell a ticket on the spot.

Give every post a place to send people

Chance2Win gives your raffle its own website, so every email, post and QR code can sell a ticket on the spot. Paper and online sales go into the same drawing.
